The mission of the Continental Dance Club is to promote social ballroom dancing at all levels. We welcome all dancers, from those just learning to those who are accomplished ballroom dancers. Adults of all ages and races are welcome. We also welcome the opportunity to engage in charitable activities.
For social dancing in Indianapolis and all of Indiana, we can't be beat. Membership is open to all adults regardless of race, creed, or religion. You can become a member at the time of your first visit or at anytime thereafter, at any time of the year. Upon becoming a member the annual fee of $25 a year is payable. Then the annual fee will be payable again each following year on the anniversary date of your joining the club. Members pay $10 each Sunday night they attend a dance. You may attend dances as a guest as many times as you would like without becoming a member. Guests pay $15 to attend each dance. No smoking or drinking is allowed at our Sunday night dances.
The membership is governed by a board of eight directors each serving a two year term. Any member can run for the board after being a member for at least a year. A president, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer are elected from the eight board members. The 2017 board members are listed here.

The Continental Dance Club started as a singles dance club in 1955, meeting at the Indiana Roof initially, and has had ballroom dances every Sunday since that time. Many years ago the club changed from a singles club to a club that now welcomes singles and couples. The club has moved to a variety of locations over the years, renting the Starlite Ballroom on Sunday nights for the past twelve, and plans to be there for many years to come.
